The wine-growing past of Château Renon dates back to the year 1000. The current classic castle, from the 19th century, was built on the ruins of the medieval castle and has superb vaulted cellars, where the magnificent wines produced in this terroir are aged on the exceptional hillsides overlooking the Garonne River flowing in the distance.
The red wines of Château Renon are made from Merlot (85%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%) grape varieties, harvested by hand. 80% matured in new barrels.
They are characterized by a deep ruby to garnet color, a complex, woody, roasted and fruity nose, as well as a dense and warm structure with beautiful tannins and persistent length.
The quality and exposure of our clay-limestone terroir, combined with our desire for perfection, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, give the wines of Château Renon a quality worthy of the greatest Grands Crus of Bordeaux.

Château Renon Rouge 2021 with the Barrique Radoux
In our Château Renon estate, we are happy to present our 2021 red wine with the Radoux barrel for tasting and sale.
The matrix was categorized as fruity and balanced with a balance of ripe fruit and fresh fruit. Little change with aeration, the wine is “solid” and suggests very good potential over time. The woodiness is characterized by some discreet pastry notes which enhance the perception of the fruit, complemented by a few spices (licorice, pepper). The palate has a nice volume and really contrasts with the leaner 2021 wines that we were able to taste.
Good length on the palate and a finish with a hint of bitterness which should fade during aging.

Château Renon offers you a magnificent white wine from Bordeaux, from 2019.
Color: bright pale yellow
Nose: closed nose upon opening, then very fresh aromas, beautiful minerality and spicy complexity.
